Here are some of the others restaurants I enjoy in Hong Kong
French
Chez Patrick, Wan Chai, 3 Star Street
Favorite dish -> Andouillette & Cheese platter
There is a lot of very good French restaurants in Hong Kong, I will recommend this one as a quiet and relaxed location more than based on the food only.
Fleur de Sel, Causeway Bay, 2/F, P Foo Building, Foo Ming Street
Favorite dish -> All of their crepes
For my childhood & my grandmother or to discover the Brittany specialties, this hidden restaurant with a small terrace is the place to go! The dishes are all delicious and new additions are done regularly to the menu.
Middle East
Olive, Central Soho, 32 Elgin Street
Favorite dish -> the vegetarian tajine
Juicy, tender, full of flavors are the correct words to describe the dishes in this restaurant... A small and friendly restaurant in the heart of Soho, a small menu but delicious dishes to choose for!
Kasbah, Central, G/F, 4-8 Aburthnot Street
Favorite dish -> Couscous
A well decorated place in a quiet road of Central, the dishes are amazing here. The prices are on the high range again but it is well worth a visit for its perfect merguez!
Mexican
Agave, Wan Chai
Favorite dish -> Margaritas & Burritos
When in need of a quick mexican fix, this place has everything to offer. Also a perfect spot to start a party night with plenty of drinks to choose from.
Tapas
Viva Ana, Wan Chai, Shop 1, 222 Queen's Road East
Favorite dish -> Meat tapas & Sangria
Even from outside this restaurant looks so tempting! Located in the hearth of Wan Chai, it serves a Catalan inspired kitchen with lots of tapas and sangria to drink with. The perfect place to share finger foods with friends!
Tapeo, Central, Soho, 19 Hollywood Road
Favorite dish -> Tortilla & Chorizo tapas
Very small restaurant in Central, setting at the bars for a great lunch experience or a quick dinner. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the presentation is great, definitely a restaurant to try.
Meat
Tango, Central, 1/F, Carfield Building, 77 Wyndham Street
Favorite Dish -> Meat. meat and meat
In the middle of the busy Wyndham street, this argentinian steakhouse is a paradise for meat lovers! Plenty of different cuts and meats to choose from and delicious side orders to complete this meal.
Wooloomooloo, Wan Chai, 31/F The Hennessy, 256 Hennessy Road
Favorite Dish -> Meat & Onion soup
Who still needs to introduce this well known restaurant in Hong Kong? The location in Wan Chai is perfect for a drink afterwards on the rooftop with an incredible view of HK by night.
Cheese
Classified, Tai Hang, 1-9 Lin Fa Kung Street West
Favorite dish -> Cheese fondue
Craving your cheese, this is the place to go! The small restaurant offers wine and cheese on display and the decorations makes you feel at home. Served with apples and bread, the fondue is well worth a visit.
Italian
Isola, Central, Pdium 3, IFC Mall, 8 Fiannce Street
Favorite dish -> Pizzas & Handmade pastas
With an awesome harbor view, this restaurant is a great place for a week end lunch or dinner. Most of the dishes are done from scratch and well presented. This place is also a hit for family with kids during the week end.
Vegetarian
Veggie SF, Central, 10/F, 11 Stanley Street
Favorite dish -> Burger
A cute restaurant with only vegetarian options. The menu is short but the dishes are all very tasty. The perfect place to treat one of your vegetarian friend (me!).
Life Café, Central Soho, 10 Shelley Street
Favorite dish -> Avocado club
With its small terrace on the last floor, this place has everything to offer. Healthy home made food for vegetarian, vegans or gluten free addicts. The whole menu is based on organic and fresh products - a must try!
Gluten free
Mana, Central, 92 Wellington Street
Favorite dish -> Flats Mana
Hiding a small terrace at the back of the restaurant, this place is dedicated to organic and healthy fast food. It was exactly what was missing from this working area for busy lunch hours!
Sunday Brunch
Grand Hyatt Hotel, Wan Chai
Favorite dish -> Buffet at Tiffin
So far my favorite place for a sunday brunch! Intimist atmosphere with live music, amazing location, delicious foods and lots of vegetarian options in the buffet.
The Jumbo, Aberdeen
Favorite dish -> Buffet at the Top Deck
No need to introduce you this famous floating restaurant. The perfect place to enjoy a brunch and spend a full afternoon on the sun.
Sunday Breakfast
Brunch Club, Causeway Bay, 1/F, 13 Leigthon Road
Favorite Dish -> Benedicte eggs & Waffles
Looking for a nice place to spend your sunday breakfast, go to this place without any hesitation! The food is good, the decoration is relaxing and with two different locations (the other one is in Central, Peel street), you can chose which one is the nearest.
Pumpernickel, Tin Hau, G/F, 1 Lau Li Street
Favorite Dish -> Omelette & Bread
Not a fancy place, this restaurant has nothing to envy to others! This tiny place serves very good breakfast and will be full very quickly so make sure you are coming early or call to book a table.
Frozen yogurt
Yoppi, Central, 10-12 Stanley Street
Favorite dish -> Original Signature Flavor
When it is hot and humid outside you might just need a frozen yogurt! This place offers lots of different flavors which are chosen by customers every week. It is also a cheap frozen yogurt option around this area.
Red mango, Central, 71 Wellington Street
Favorite dish -> Original flavor
I know this brand from South Africa and for me, it is the best frozen yogurt around HK! Plenty of toppings to chose from. However the price is also on the high range for a frozen yogurt.
Crumbs, Causeway Bay, 6 Cannon Street
Favorite dish -> Kiddie cup
This is the creamiest frozen yogurt ever, more than just a treat in the afternoon, I always go for the kiddie cup. Let's give it a try and their brownie toppings are to die for...
