A visit of Hanoi without the Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre would have been sad! Everyone have already seen a puppet show but what about a water puppet show?

This art is dated back in the 11^th century and today it is part of the Vietnamese culture. The show is giving spectators a picture of main activities in the country, from farmers in the rice fields to historical battles

Puppets are controlled from below by people hidden behind the scene. It is amazing how precise their moves need to be for such a show and I don’t know how they are doing it. I heard it a secret guarded for centuries…
