The Hong Kong and French governments signed a “Working holiday” agreement together on 6th of May 2013. It is a bilateral working holiday scheme to benefit people between 18 and 30 starting from 1st of July 2013. I remembered when I was living in France, everyone was speaking about the Working Holiday Visa for Australia so now it is time to think about Asia too and particularly Hong Kong!!!!

Signed by M. Fabius, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of France during his visit in Hong Kong, this agreement is a great opportunity for our two countries to gain working and living experience abroad.

Every year, 200 participants will be allowed from each country to obtain the precisous visa under few criterias found here for French people or here for HK people.

With more than 15,000 french people registered at the French consulat in Hong Kong, no doubt that this new agreement will soon become very popular! If you are not too old, you have 3 more weeks to prepare and finalize your application to be ready on the 1st of July 2013...
